I was born on September 22, 1981 in Ibadan by a famous local folk poet under whose watch I started my first scribblings,and educated in the same city until March 2005 when I finished from Linguistics with an Honours degree from theUniversity of Ibadan.While in College, I was president of the Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) for 18 months between 2002 and 2004and the editor of some campus publications. I have been awarded the Most Consistent Columnist Award,First Prize Okigbo Poetry Prize, Federal Government Scholarship, and the MacArthur Foundation Scholarship.The latter took me to Eldoret, Kenya in March 2005 for a period of 4 weeks.I have been published online by Sentinel Poetry, Subjective Substance, M-A-G, Farafina etc.I also have a collection of poetry titles "Headfirst into the Meddle" published in Ibadan by Khalam Books, March 2005.I became Ibadan Poet Laureate in 2004 with the winning poem, CREATION STORY that won the year'sOkigbo Prize for Poetry.
