Sending Your Text via e-mail
Note: These are generic instructions, and will not apply to
all programs.
Windows. ..
- In your word processing program, open your file and Select
All. (This is usually under the edit menu or is obtained by pressing
Control-A.)
- Select Copy under the edit menu. This puts the text on the
clipboard.
- In Outlook, open a new message to publish@author-me.com.
- Include the title in the Subject line
- Click in the message area, type
Author Name, press Enter.
- Select Paste under the edit
menu (or press Control-V).
- Enter the address in the "to" box:
fiction@author-me.com,
poetry@author-me.com, or
nonfiction@author-me.com , or
publish@author-me.com
- Click Send. If successful, you will receive a thank you message
from us.
Alternately, if you are familiar with e-mail attachments, click
on the attachments icon and select your text. It should be
in a standard document format, including word processing or Adobe
PageMaker .
If your message is so long that a server rejects it, send it
in sections entitled "Part 1," "Part 2," etc.
Macintosh...
