WritingWorksPress.... (continued)

Writing Works Press maintains a simple Web Log for interactive author development purposes and to share others’ unique perspectives.  Web log subjects will change as the organic nature of the site changes.   The transformative interaction can benefit all involved.

The transformative interaction can take the form of an analysis that asks us to interpret our lived-experience and look for a different interpretation that unfetters us from the past.  One way of interpretation is one that detaches us from finding fault in others or blaming ourselves.

An example is writer’s block.  Once a person says, “I have writer’s block.”  The condition seems to be owned.  The author often mitigates the circumstances that feeling blocked causes rather than railing against the circumstance in any way possible.  Even journaling or blogging about the feeling of being blocked may be a preferable alternative to the dull humming of the “I’m blocked” thoughts.

Please feel free to treat this as an experience other than a study group exercise.  The dynamics of Study Groups are interesting.  The last study group I attended, I was treated differently because I was actually completing the exercises.  I was informed: "This was not simply an intellectual enterprise."  Everyone else in my group had not completed the work and yet had an opinion on the work that I had completed.  In the group process, I was doing my best to paddle out onto the ocean while others were tethered to shore and holding onto my boat's rope.  With that experience, I found myself intentionally arriving late and sitting by myself while longing for a supportive place to rest my ideas and support my soul.  Hopefully, Writing Works Press feels like a resting place for sharing ideas.

Enjoy being a part of an interactive process?  Just sign up to get started!  Generous opinions are welcome as long as a positive experience is maintained by all.  Ultimately, joint sharing of information has the potential to enhance intellectual experience.
