10,000 light years from earth on a planet of an orange dwarf in a system of eight planets, one world circling safely in the narrow zone between fire and ice two hundred thousand years ago, a race of beings were born struggling tooth and nail with an hostile environment and savage beasts.

They began to tame their world, up through the different stages of development first with stone and then metals. They were a graceful people, bright and curious about everything, the different life forms on their world and the heavens above.

They had evolved from a species of simian ape hairless now they stood over seven feet tall with long arms ending in six digits. Despite their planet's lack of quality metals which did not deter them they learned to blend the metals they did have with plastics.

They developed hybrid materials for their space program First came the automated probes to the world in their own system. While this was going on they were underway with a more ambitious program!

Yet there were high quality metals in the asteroids of their solar system. They developed much needed equipment for mining the asteroids. They also focused their energies on building advanced spacecraft, so with newly developed equipment they set off on their adventure

Soon they had a sophisticated mining operation going, and were mining a rather large planetismal. They made an astounding discovery deep inside the planetismal. They found alien artifacts; among the artifacts were the diagrams of particular interest that were technological. At first they had great difficulty in deciphering the diagrams, but they were aggressive in their pursuits and soon they had the answers. They had cracked the codes. It turned out the diagrams were for a space drive that when built and tested pushed an experimental craft up to near the speed of light.

This was the breakthrough they were hoping for. Armed with the new technology they built spaceships capable of traveling to stars near them and none to soon!

For their world was dying. Their sun had become a flare star sending huge amounts of radiation through the solar system. Hardest hit was their world. They set about building huge ships, evacuating their world. Over the years ship after ship left the doomed world. In two centuries they managed to evacuate the entire planet. The ships scattered in different directions.

On worlds they found too hostile or too young, if these worlds possessed oceans, they would seed these worlds with their own genetic material on planets they found suitable. They would settle those while they were in love with the idea of exploration and choose a different destiny. Settling on worlds was not for them, so they decided to explore the galaxy and seeding worlds whenever possible .They owed this incredible destiny to those unknown aliens whom they have not discovered.
