AEONS, ago in the milky way galaxy, a planet orbiting a red giant star is
nearing the end of it's life cycle ! home to many species of life for billions
of years and five different intelligent species have long ago evolved beyond
the corporal stage, now all that remains of these animal folk are a few ruins
scattered around the planet, it's magnetic field has continued to weaken as
it's core cools, the rotation of the planet has slowed down to a crawl ! so
that it's daytime temperature soars baking the surface, ages ago it's seas had
boiled way killing any marine life that was in it .
NOW! the only life that remains are pods that contain spores and upon maturing
the spores are released into the thin atmosphere, carried aloft by the winds
that are generated by the swollen sun ! the spores reach the edge of
space , where the spores are carried into space by the solar winds that
transport them into interstellar space and drift for unimaginable time .
THE cold of space causes a protective barrier to form around the spores, while
in the void ! on occasion they will drift close to a star and be
captured by it's gravity and be pulled into the star's influence and if the
alien sun has planets the spores will settle into orbit of those distant
worlds and slowly drift down thru the layers of air, if the planet is in it's
infancy, with forming oceans they will settle on the land and in the seas and
began to propagate, sometimes they thrive and mutate into many forms and
varieties, changing the land and the poisonous atmosphere while other times
they will be pulled into the solar corona and be destroyed.
THIS is the story of one of those solar systems ! A, T-TARRUS SUN on the edge
of the galaxy has formed a family of ten worlds, four massive gas giants and
six inner rocky worlds, four of which have primordial oceans and thick
atmospheres composed of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ammonia and other
poisonous compounds which are lethal to carbon based life.
THE spores in time are captured by these worlds an settle into the layers of
air, lazily they are carried down until they , either reach the surface or the
seas. IN the fullness of time the spores began to change,
mutate into many forms of life, plant, animals ! single celled at first, but
as the ages march on these new forms of life, evolve into more complex life
forms. slowly the thick noxious compounds that compose the primitive planet's
atmosphere are replaced by oxygen, nitrogen, and other gases that are
compatible to the newly emerging species, the skies slowly turn cobalt blue
! these worlds look promising to life, but fate has a way of dealing a harsh
reality, of the two furthest worlds from the infant sun, the smaller one,
mysteriously explodes taking with it the bright morning promise of life an
intelligence. THE explosion causes debris to fall onto
it's neighboring world, rupturing the magnetic field, causing the newly formed
atmosphere to gush into space and it's oceans to boil exterminating all life
on the planet ! gone are the hope and life of intelligences that will not be
born, some of the life on the larger planet in order to escape doom migrate
into the interior of the planet ! where the temperatures are more
favorable to life, so without the air or sunlight, life evolves underground
into new shapes and forms, in the darkness a new destiny is created.
WHILE on the two worlds closer to the maturing sun, life seems more secure,
the second and third planets life from the alien spores, continues to evolve
into more complex form, finally multi-cellular began to populate the seas and
time never ceasing, forcing new forms to take the place of older ones which
couldn't adapt to changing climates ! and under the new skies of
those infant worlds, on an lonely spot of an long ago beach, the first
life forms timidly looks out upon an alien landscape, retreating at first,
then with curiosity venturing forward onto the land and never looking back to
the birth place of their births . ON both planets life
changes and evolves and it looks very bright for the evolving life ! but
the sun begins to change and grow brighter and hotter, the second world
shudders under the new siege, as the temperatures soar life begins to die,
hotter and hotter it gets, the oceans boiled adding more moisture to the
atmosphere, causing it to get even hotter, soon the seas are no more and with
no more seas to regulate the temperature more carbon dioxide to be pumped into
the noxious brew, thick clouds now cover the planet, trapping more heat from
the sun, the planet is now dead. ON the
third planet life continues to change and mutate, new forms replace the old,
birds fly in the sky, huge reptilian warm blooded creature roam the one large
super continent! but under the crust the continental plates began to break
apart the landmass, and over the ages the reptilian forms change into other
species of themselves and they flourished for over a hundred million years,
that eventful day a large chunk of the exploded planet crashes into the
biosphere of the third world, exterminating much of the life on the surface
and the oceans ! but life is resealing where large forms died out, smaller
creatures survived , tiny furry creatures that thru the ages after the
disaster evolved into other forms, the very large along side the very small .
ONE day millions of years in the future a bipedal hairy being walked the
planet in small groups they explored their world, over much of the surface
they roam and changed into more advanced forms ! until one day far in the
future they became fully reasoning beings, capable of understanding
their environment and their place in it and they called themselves mankind and
their world the EARTH.
AS time marches on, man masters his world and begins to remake the
surface of the EARTH his influence being felt throughout the world and in space
and one day far in the future man has made his mark on distant worlds of other
suns, changing into new species of man and on the deserted EARTH, the cities
are empty, there is no sign of man, the weeds and animals, overtime far in the
future new species of plants and animals are born always the same the new
taking the place of the old, the dust of the ages cover the old, new animals
and new beings, cities rise into the sky again the voices of throngs of people
milling around in the parks and in the hinterlands, scientist linger over
relics of the ancient past and wonder who made them .
IN the skies of EARTH the sun grows hotter and brighter, it is passed middle
age now ! and approaching the red giant stage and on the EARTH life is being
affected, in the seas at first, the creatures like the mollusks and shell
creatures die off first and then the plankton as the sun grows larger in the
sky, the manlike beings grow alarmed and begin a planned evacuation of the
EARTH ! their space program is well developed and soon the world is
devoid of rational intelligent beings .
THE sun now in it's red giant stage looms red in the sky, the seas are a ghost
of their former selves and devoid of any life and on the land the only life
that can be found are those mysterious spore pods ! for life has come full
circle and in the thin atmosphere the radiation from the sun causes the pods
to exploded and to issue forth their spores and winds stirred up by the
blotted sun carry the spores high up into the atmosphere and with help from
the solar winds carry them into the blackness of space to start a new cycle on
some distant world .
