2.16. The Qur’an, like the science of Geology, says that the earth’s surface is a combination of different tectonic plates, which, while moving around in the pre-historic times, clashed with one another and got stuck through the creation of mountains.
13: 4. And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts.
15:19. And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills [which are a consequence of the spreading out], and caused each seemly thing to grow therein.
88:17. Will they not regard the camels, how they are created?
50: 7. And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
