Mystery of Creation2.16. The Qur’an, like the science of Geology, says that the earth’s surface is a combination of different tectonic plates, which, while moving around in the pre-historic times, clashed with one another and got stuck through the creation of mountains.

13: 4. And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts.

15:19. And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills [which are a consequence of the spreading out], and caused each seemly thing to grow therein.

88:17. Will they not regard the camels, how they are created?
88:18. And the heaven, how it is raised?
88:19. And the hills, how they are set up?
88:20. And the earth, how it is spread?
88:21. Remind them, for you art but a remembrancer.

50: 7. And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,

13: 3. And He it is Who spread out the earth and placed therein firm hills and flowing streams, and of all fruits He placed therein two spouses (male and female). He covers the night with the day. Look! herein Certainly are portents for people who take thought.

3:190. Look! In the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the difference of night and day are tokens (of His Sovereignty) for men of understanding,

51:48. And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)!

79:27. Are you the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built?
79:28. He raised the height thereof and ordered it;
79:29. And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof.
79:30. And after that He spread the earth,
79:31. And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof,
79:32. And He made fast the hills,
79:33. A provision for you and for your cattle.
13: 3. And He it is Who spread out the earth and placed therein firm hills and flowing streams, and of all fruits He placed therein two spouses (male and female). He covers the night with the day. Look! herein Certainly are portents for people who take thought.

13:41. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? (When) Allah dooms there is none that can postpone His doom, and He is swift at reckoning.

16:15. And He has cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that you may find a way.

77:25. Have We not made the earth a receptacle
77:26. Both for the living and the dead,
77:27. And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein?

78: 6. Have We not made the earth an expanse,
78: 7. And the high hills bulwarks?

52: 9. On the day when the heaven will heave with (awful) heaving,
52:10. And the mountains move away with (awful) movement,
